Meal time for babies, toddlers and small people in general, can be a super overwhelming task. Meal time is approaching and the anxiety in your chest is increasing, as you remember that you’ve got to feed this little person. Except you never know what they will actually want to eat today and what they will throw on the floor (or even worse, throw at you).
That said, I also know that there is SO much information online about what to feed your child, how to feed your child, what NOT to feed your child, what to do if your child won’t feed itself and the list goes on (and on and on). So bear with me here, because this is not about making these precious moments with our children feel like another thing to check off the to-do list. In fact I don’t want it to ever feel like a task or chore at all!
An Eco-Conscious Brand That Supports The Journey
I’m not an expert in this field, but as a parent I definitely know what it feels like to want feeding to be easier, not more complicated. What I also understand when I see it is a brand that wants to support your child’s feeding journey, right from the very beginning.
Baby by Beach has cleverly designed baby tableware to last, so it’s the only set you’ll ever need through the milestones (immediately my eco conscious, minimalist mind is at ease).
Designed For Curious Eaters
It has six modular pieces, with four removable sections, which in itself felt like the permission I was seeking to serve my little one food in a way that suits her happy little brain. She doesn’t want one big meal. She wants the choice, the freedom, the creativity when it comes to her meals. A little bit of this and a little bit of that.
It’s the perfect plate for a picky eater (i.e. every single small person I’ve ever met).
The Everything Plate is a silicone toddler plate designed to grow with your child - not something they outgrow in a few months.
It’s certainly called for me to be more creative with her meal times too (I do love making things look aesthetic and cute).
The main plate is deep and can act as a large bowl, the four removable components are also like four mini bowls AND the lid also doubles as a second plate. It’s adaptable by design and can be customised in 20+ different ways - because no two kids want the same.
All the silicone toddler plate materials are food, oven, microwave, freezer and air fryer safe and super sturdy and high quality too. Baby by Beach almost had me questioning if I needed half the things in my cupboard, pans, baking dishes and all! Truly, what more could you possibly need?
Let Children Explore Food (and Why Feeding Toddlers Can Feel SO Challenging)
I think a large part of the problem with meal times is that we expect our little people to eat like adults who have been around for 20,30,40 years like us - essentially, one large meal on a plate. When the reality is that they need to explore and pick and change their mind. Most importantly, they enjoy the sense of agency and independence. The Baby by Beach ‘Everything Plate’ fully supports that journey.
Simple Ways to Make Feeding Toddlers Easier
Paediatric Dietician Arielle Dani Lebovitz (2026) shares some helpful tips such as:
-
Offer small portions instead of one large meal
-
Let them explore and play with food
-
Give them choice (even if it’s just between two options)
-
Don’t expect consistency - toddlers change their minds daily
-
Use adaptable feeding tools that grow with them
The Little Details
Personally, I’m lost for words at the attention to detail on the toddler cutlery. Wait for it; The ergonomically designed handles have the CUTEST little grip prints of sea animals on them, to match the plate (I see what you did there Baby by ‘Beach’).
It’s also so pleasing to me to be able to share that the fork is actually forking. It genuinely pierces food effectively, rather than squashing it or pushing it off the plate.
One Final Reminder
Run, don’t walk to check out the Baby by Beach range and one last friendly reminder amidst the chaos. Don’t forget to slow down and embrace the depths of this adventurous little era too, messy meals, curious hands and all.
