Letter A of A-Z of Food Ideas for Toddlers

Letter A of A-Z of Food Ideas for Toddlers
This is our A-Z of food ideas for toddlers! Where better to start than the letter A, and we'll be embarking on a journey through the entire alphabet. We'll be shopping together, cooking together, and, of course, eating together.
This is a fantastic way to introduce your little ones to new foods and exciting flavours, all while learning along the way. Inspired by the Amazing Kelly from @noshandnourish / @eattherainbow_kids’ #NourishABC series.
For the letter A, we shopped for Asparagus, Apples, Almond Butter, Dried Apricots, Apricot and Coconut Bites and Almond Flakes.
We came home and made Asparagus Pastries, Apple Donuts with Almond Butter a sprinkle of Almond Flakes (+sprinkles and MnMs for fun!) and tied it all together with some Apple Raspberry Softcorn Puffs from Tiny Bellies, Dried Apricots and Apricot Bites.  Such a fun activity, and the boys loved the whole process.

  • One sheet of Puff Pastry

  1. Prepare the Asparagus Start by cleaning the asparagus and trimming the ends.
  2. Drizzle some oil and season We made it real simple with a little salt and pepper and sprinkled some Parmesan
  3. Slice the Puff Pastry into thin strips We used a pizza slicer to simplify the process
  4. Wrap the Pastry Wrap the Puff Pastry strips around the Asparagus
  5. Brush on the egg wash Brush the egg wash on the pastry wrapped Asparagus
  6.  Add Parmesan Sprinkle Parmesan over the Pastries
  7. Pop in the Airfryer or Oven Cook in the Airfryer or Oven for 7-10 mins at 180 °C, turning over halfway to achieve a crispy edge all the way around
  8. Enjoy! Allow to cool, and enjoy! We served ours with some Tomato Sauce and the boys loved it!
